I don't really like Larius, Waco, funny taste! I buy Lidl's brand, Club, which has now gone up to €4,79 (Ã?£3.35) a bottle ... it's the tonic that's expensive here, Schweppes at least at €1,69 (Ã?£1.18) for 1,5 litres, so I use a store-brand one at 69c (49p).

Having lived in America for quite a while we "measure" drinks but an American measure is double the English, which is non-existent! Also don't drink before 5ish - could get habit forming! Unless of course we're out to lunch or there are visitors or it's a hot day and you've been slave labouring doing something and a cold beer is needed ... there's ALWAYS the exception!

Love your garden ... you've got quite a task ahead of you currently but sorry I can't be of help advising as I don't know what's acceptable in North Yorkshire conditions (lived in Beds, Bucks and IoW whilst in England).

Look forward to seeing more of your hard work.

Yes we always find it best to wait until sun is over the yard arm before G & T!

the stream bed is not really a problem, I just thought it would be fun to develop it. The rest of the garden I have come to the conclusion is a full time job!

Have a good day rosa! And have a couple of drinks for me, I get awful hangovers and decided in my 30s it wasn't worth drinking very much. I do like alcohol but keep to small quantities :(
