I'll send you some anyway Kristen, only bought em as a window sill/green house crop. I grow the full size ones outside, you know, gardening for height & all that stuff.

Do I have your address ? Can't remember, best Pm me.

I have some - that's how I knew they were flat :thumb: ... but I will use them up this year, so hang on to yours unless you discover you hate them :)

Thanks for the help guys! I think I will go for the french beans, although nobody seems to have said how high they grow roughly.

Also can you freeze them ok?

My first post earlier: "There are Dwarf (about a foot or 18" tall) and Climbing French beans"

If you mean the Climbers then they will do about 6' or 7'

    Hiya

I always do a couple of pots of Dwarf Bean safari - they are just like the Kenyan fine beans you get in the supermarket. Just top & tail them. They are soooooooo easy to grow & I always start them off in the greenhouse so they are always my earliest beans. Never have any left to freeze though - the kids (and dog) scoff them straight off the plant!!!! They look pretty too in a pot - I also do my dear old Dad a pot to keep on his patio. They grow to about 1 1/2 to 2 foot high. Very highly recommended.

I also do some climbing french beans - but purple ones (that go green on cooking) They are really pretty too. :) and taste good.
The climbing beans go as high as you want them - once they reach the top of the pole, nip out the top.
