Early Spring?

    Well this week must break all records..I have had yet another opium poppy appear..2 small field poppys..a lupin and this morning the 30th september a yellow rose..and the marigolds keep coming along ..the ox eye daisys are out for their second appearance..I have loads of raspberrys still coming..and i too have catkins on my hazelnut tree !!

    Weird isn't it? I've got polyanthus in flower too. There was a photograph of apples and apple blossom on the same tree at the same time! It was shown on our regional news programe last week.

    Average temperature for this September was more than 3 degrees higher than usual. It was the hottest September ever recorded and this July was the hottest July ever recorded. My front garden is now a hot desert type gravel garden in anticipation of next year's drought - which is probably a cue for monsoon type rain to deluge all summer.

    At this moment in time i have got ox eye daisys ..marigolds ..nastertiums..roses field poppys ..the goats rue is trying to make a comeback ..the lavetera has flowered again and the trees are full of roses as they have climbed up them..The chamomile is sprouting everywhere its all really odd and strange ..perhaps its a sign of things to come..!!

    This was part of what i have left this morning 17th october..i have also noticed the rosemary is flowering again and other plants are trying to come back...
