They lasted 8 months, but have all been used. After over 7 months of not buying any, a company we provide shopping habits data to sent us a questionnaire containing the question "Do you suffer from constipation?"

Possibly 'media hype' but I do find it 'interesting' that reported in the news, they were 'urgently' trying to track down the other 111 passengers on the flight which the nurse was on ....:th scifD36: ....she had a fever ,did she vomit over every one? ofcourse it is precaution and portrayed in 'media talk' but there are so many conflicting 'stories'...

Nigeria did it right, but the U.S. failed http://www.businessinsider.com/how-nigeria-stopped-ebola-2014-10 As for "did she vomit over every one?" - I believe things should be checked out a bit better than that.

Surely those passengers can be found as don't the airline companies have any information like email addresses, phone numbers etc or are these passengers all on holiday possibly spreading the bugs?

I am still not worrying about it in the slightest until it is actually on my doorstep, then I might start getting concerned but as there are more than enough people it might affect between me and the airports/docks,before it gets anywhere near my sweat, snot, tears etc etc I am not going into panic mode.:snork:

The three main countries that have ebola going on right now are Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. Population counts as follows:

                Liberia : 4.3 Million
                Sierra Leone: 6.1 Million
                Guinea: 11.8 Million

                That's a total of 22.2 Million.

There have been around 9000 cases of ebola so far in this outbreak. Most of them in the three worst affected countries mentioned above.

That means the odds of catching ebola currently standard at 9000 in 22.2 million, or 1 in 2467. And that's if you happen to be in the worst affected area, not only closer to all the cases, but also in a place where quite frankly hygiene is often not taken seriously, denial is widespread, and in any case the medical facilities are not top notch.

So if you live in one of the worst affected countries, your odds of catching ebola currently stand at 1 in 2467. About half of those that catch it die. So if you were in one of the worst hit countries, your odds of dying of ebola would be about 1 in 4900.

So far, touch wood, there has only been one case of ebola in the UK, and that was of somebody who contracted it abroad and was brought here, under very strictly controlled conditions, to be treated. He survived I believe. There are 70 million people in the UK, and one person here has had it. That means the odds of a UK resident having ebola currently stand at 1 in 70,000,000 or thereabouts. By comparison, in winter 2010/2011, 602 people in the UK died of flu.

Not quite, as that figure is, as admitted by the Authorities, only the reported cases. The NGA's reckon that there could be around 4 times that in unrecorded cases.:dunno::snork:
