Ecological - To Be Or Not To Be?

    Have you tried taking the filter out and cleaning it? Also, have you checked the powder tray to see whether it has gone mouldy? That is a possibility even if you don't use it.

    Yes, cleaned the filter - although it didn't need cleaning, and the powder tray is fine!! :gaagh:

    Hi Gemini,
    Just another thought. Do you close your washing machine door when it's not in use, if so this could also be a factor. The machine will sweat and create bacteria/smells. I leave the doors slightly ajar on all my appliances, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer and microwave. Manufacturers usually state this on the instruction manual. :)

    Wow thanks for that info. I nearly always wash at 30 degrees, and I'm sure our pipes have been clogging, yet I had no idea this could be down to the temperature we use.

    I guess I'll use a higher temp a bit more often!
