The current ICE version starts at £ 112,455.00 for the V6 and £ 140,630.00 for the V8. The EV will be at least as powerful as the V8.

There is a video circulating on FB that is now on You tube and other platforms of a queue of Teslas waiting to be charged at Tebay services southbound yesterday. Good job they weren't on the north bound services as there is even fewer charging points. Just goes to show with a combination of peak traffic an increase in EV'S and insufficient chargers can cause.

Probably waiting to use a Tesla Supercharger. When you buy a Tesla you get an adaptor (J1772) which allows you to charge it at any charging point. Not as quick as the Supercharger but quicker than sitting in a long queue.

According to someone who is a member of the FB Tesla owner group, they were in the queue for 2hr 30mins, makes you wonder if there was a drop off in power or were they all working. There is 8 Tesla charge points, could be all supercharge, with 6 waiting bays all on the south bound services. The services are also accessible from the north bound services as well, both can get packed. There has been an on running documentary on channel 4 about the services and the farm shops, so I tend to avoid them now anyways.

I often get fed up if there is a couple of cars in front at the petrol pump.
Usually because some idiot is doing his weeks shopping and getting 5 cups of coffee.

I've stayed at Tebay a number of times in the past and again last year, but never again. It really has gone downhill as far as quality and service is concerned. The food wasn't good either, I sent an evening meal back to the kitchen which was so salty it was inedible.

I seem to remember that Tesla has a factory or dealership somewhere in the area. I certainly saw a lot of them on the road around the Tebay area, but not at Tebay itself.

Many of the reviews seem to be, "not what it was & past its best" nowadays. A fall from grace in my opinion, should focus more on the service they provide instead of making a documentary series.

I don't know of a Tesla dealer in Cumbria, I think they tend to stop at Tebay as the Tesla app will have directed them there.

I think the nearest Tesla dealership is in Crewe.

Not sure if there is one in Crewe, Shiney. Chester and Manchester have dealerships.
After a couple of stories I have heard about electric vehicules. First one said de-icing them in the very cold spell was hard work. Also, a long journey in very cold weather plus traffic jams, meant a 3hour journey to Whitby took over 8 hours due to necessary recharging.
I'll stick to my 2 litre petrol engines!
