I just think its part of the plan to force us all off the roads, just make motoring far to expensive for the peasants, at some point they will wonder where all the revenue went, but for now its a money spinner.

There seems to be a lot going around on the web about EV's and spontaneous combustion. This Luton Airport car park fire was apparently started off by a vehicle fire. I wonder :noidea:...

EV's will only take off when there is a large and robust charging network. The info. I've seen tells me that it costs more bucks per mile to travel by EV.

I've said it before - I'm saying it again - LPG would have been the ideal green stop gap until we had hydrogen powered cars. Electric is not the way to go Rishi.

I'm just wondering where "good green cheap energy" has gone, they were going on about it again on TV earlier, about how by going green we will all benefit monetary wise.

Can anyone come up with a "green" idea that is cheaper than we are using now, because until that happens you are not going to get the bulk of the public backing it.

We all care about the enviroment but until they make it the same price or cheaper they are p***ing in the wind.

So where is the advantage for the bloke in the street, personally I think it will be more expensive, because they all want big profits.

I think you need to watch TV because that is where most of us, the public, get our info from politicians, its their biggest outlet.
If you don't watch it then you are uninformed about what the rest of us are hearing.

Therein lies a big, big problem.... as I see it, there are currently three 'camps' when it comes to EV's, the biggest of those are the ones that really do not trust them, cannot afford them and do not want them; the next biggest is the EV-angelists who have already made the leap, are quite happy with their decision and simply cannot accept that there is even a single flaw or risk to the tech; the final camp (which I would put myself in) is those who are interested, can see some benefits under the right circumstances but are also cynical of the promises being made and are also weighing up the risks/costs etc involved. The real problem seems to be that more and more people are moving from the third camp into the first camp as the risks appear to be mounting.

The more folks who are against them, the harder it is going to be to push adoption of the tech, and make it slower for the desired change to take place - indeed, the reverse could even be forced.

You are quite entitled to disagree with any of the posts/articles/videos and can of course state what it is you don't agree with and why? Of course, if you feel you'd rather depart, I wish you a good evening.
