      Looks great Al. What type of palm is it in pic 11, looks really good in the border amongst the other plants. Got a few canary date palms and worried they won't last the winter!

          Hi matey,
          It's a chamerops humilis. Quite hardy I think. I have 3 cidp's in here too, 2 have been though the last winter no problems, one spear pulled though.

          Lol, it's taking an age to get going, only in the last week has it put some growth on. I've been feeding it and drenching it every day. If it doesn't do well by the end of the season it's going in the local park!

            Am I right in thinking you said that you painted the walls with Sandtex? If so is it Oatmeal or some other colour?

                Trachycarpus or chamerops humilis - your garden has caused me to go and buy a palm tree but not sure what to go for!

                  I'd go for a trachycarpus. The garden house on the Chester high road are the cheapest I've seen and good quality. They are labeled excelsa.
