    What do the larvae look like? I assume that I have got some, as I keep picking red beetles off the only lilly that I have in the garden. How they found it, I have no idea!

        A couple of years back a family over the road from me asked if I would feed their cat and guinea pig while they were on holiday. They forgot to mention the giant African snail. It used to cling to the lid of its tank so it could drop onto my arm whenever I reached in to feed it some salad. I'm afraid I fibbed about being away when they asked me to feed their pets the following year.

            Don't remember Eric the Snail ever fighting with Eric the chicken.

                    Just got back from work and done a shuffty around the garden. Found 5 snails and 6 slugs, put them on the path and put my foot on them I've been in about 10 minutes and the black birds have found what was left for breakfast.
