Mizaru (see), Mikazaru (hear) and Mazaru (speak) (also known as Iwazaru) are the names of "The Three Wise Monkeys". There is a carving of them in the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1542-1616), built in 1636.

As of 2008, there are 81 species of New World monkeys in the Amazon basin, and new ones are continually being discovered.

Amazon can do one day delivery on all of them...:yahoo:

                Steve...:)

The light from the nearest star to earth takes 4 years to reach us, i.e. we see it as it was 4 years ago.

If there was a mirror 35 million lightyears away you'd be able to see Earth's reflection, but it would be covered in dinosaurs :blue thumb:

Another spacey fact is that the speed of the wind on Neptune often exceeds 1000km/h. The wind sometimes exceeds the speed of sound!

I wonder if anyone else has the same perception problem when it comes to such figures...I can't even conceive of 100 km/h, let alone 1000km/h. (That is MY fact!) Hence so much of astronomy (when it comes to figures) is rendered somewhat meaningless to me unless some kind of perspective is shown to help the understanding.

Here's a fact: I'm sitting in the animal hospital for the second time this month.
