It was only 11.5 Deg C Sunday lunchtime, going to be very chilly early Thursday and Friday mornings (might put some insulation over my big marrows), the tomatoes and pumpkins have slowed right down.

It's always amazed me how different the British weather can be between one area and another. The gardening vlogs I've been watching from different parts of the country give you the impression that they were filmed at different times of year! So climate change doesn't seem to be having much effect on the north/south divide then...:stirpot:.

It could partly be due to climate change.
Remember that as the water in the seas warms up it drops as rain on the first land it reaches after cooling, hence Ireland, Wales, Western Scotland and the Isle of Man ( sorry Sheal) are always going to be wetter than inland or eastern areas, as the Atlantic and Irish sea are colder than the North sea and Channel.
And don't forget that if climate change really took hold of our temperatures, sending them sky high, we would never get the same type of weather as southern Europe as they are effectively on a warm inland sea ( the Mediterranean), backed by mountains ( Alps, Apennines etc ) for protection, whilst we are islands surrounded by cold seas and the Atlantic.
So climate change for us would mean higher temperatures but, wetter seasons.

Good idea, but I'd prefer the Scilly Isles it's not so busy there.

Nice idea Pete but it'd be to hot for me there. 23C is about right for me. :)

Don't be fooled into thinking that all of 'the South' has had 'good weather'. Since Easter there has only been three days (in early July) constant wind, sometimes gales, the South East is a different story. I have never known such a poor Summer.

Well I've always wanted to go to Tresco, but you're stuck in the Atlantic in the winter. Definitely Channel for me :)

I've not been fooled Strongy, I know the south has had a good dose of naughty weather too. It's about time us Britons were used to it don't you think. :) Interestingly, today my doctor has suggested I take vitamin D, perhaps this below has something to do with it.....typical of this month, I've just taken this picture.
