I've still got Edge with my window 10 but prefer Chrome and it keeps asking me to activate Chrome Extension.

I've read about it but what i've read is that it feeds all info and details from your pc/laptop to others sources.

Just wondering if any one else as it activated and what do they think?

Edge asks or chrome asks? Apparently Edge isn't that awful but I'm a dyed in the wool chrome user so everything defaults to that

@Gail_68 , you could use Firefox browser instead and also use a search engine other than Google which will help keep you data more private.

I use Firefox and Google, I steer clear of Bing. Each night before closing it down I delete all non essential cookies, leaving those which retain passwords.
It seems every site you visit will put a cookie on your laptop.
If you don't regularly clear them you could end up with thousands of them

As an alternative to Google I use Duck Duck Go which claims not to track you; as a search engine I find it less good than Google for certain work related things, but generally not bad.

Hi Loofah i now have chrome as my default browser but can change it back any time but this Chrome extension does a quick flash up when your computer is fully loaded asking you to activate it, i just press ok and it goes off but i've not actually activated it yet.

Why not just activate and be done with it?

@Gail_68 you need a 10 year old to sort it out! They would click their way through everything, your device will be useable, efficient and pc!
