Thank you, Upsy ... you did a wonderful job! :rolleyespink: The pic was taken 15 minutes after being cut and still damp, Hairdresser (trained in France) said my hair was SO thick ... so it waved when dry and now looks ... My Sis had very wavy/curly hair.

68F1F2DE-3ABA-4DD8-95D8-61BFCBD0D9F3.jpeg Sorry for not being around the last few months but haven’t been feeling too brilliant with Osteoarthritis pain everywhere in my little bod especially my hands, hips, ankles etc and ended up breaking one of my toes again for the sixth time three weeks before we went to Anglesey to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary:wub2:

Anyway, went to see the quack and asked again for a DEXA scan which this time was agreed and the Dr said he would see what he could do.Had a letter come on 4th September for me to ring to make an appointment to have the scan done.I explained that we were going away on the 7th so was offered an appointment the next day.:dancy:Mr Kandy wasn’t happy as we were trying to get everything packed into the car and caravan plus we were supposed to be getting our locks (hair)cut but as I pointed out this scan was more important than a bloody hair cut:biggrin:

Had the scan done early the next morning and at lunch time my Dr’s surgery rang me up after receiving the results of the scan and wanted me to make an appointment to discuss the results with the Dr.As the surgery couldn’t get me in on the Friday to see my usual Dr who ordered the scan I said they could wait until I got back in two weeks. My friend said she couldn’t go away without knowing the results to which I replied ‘What I don’t know about,I can’t worry about’

Last Friday I trotted off to the surgery for my chat to be told I definetley have Osteoporosis (I already knew that when the lady scanning me measured my height and informed me I am 1/2” shorter thanI had written on the form:yikes:) So now I am the proud owner of a box of Alendronic Acid tablets one to be taken on the same day each week on an empty stomach with a large glass of water and have to sit or stand upright for thirty minutes to let the tablet go down my gullet:sad: Also was told I have to inform my dentist as can have jaw problems with this tablet so did that yesterday:sad:

Hope you like the photo.I am the blonde on Mr K’s right and yes my hair colour is all my own and not out of a bottle, just scuse the length:biggrin:

              PS,Love all the updated photos:smile:

Love your photo and wanted to give you a heads up about osteoporosis medicines. I get a shot of Prolia (denosumab) every six months and it has totally stopped my deterioration and indeed has helped my bone density revover to pre osteoporosis levels. It is expensive however if you report that the present stuff bothers your stomach, you might get bumped up to this fantastic solution.

Either way, I wish you a quick reversal :)

:) Hi @Kandy had wondered where you had disappeared. Lovely photo of you both. Happy belated Anniversary there at Llangogog!

Sorry to hear you broke your toe again. I too have Osteoporosis and TOOK (note took NOT take) Alendronic Acid for five months last year at 6am every Sunday morning! :hate-shocked: I was ill, developed oesophagus and teeth problems, a result of which my Dentist would not do anything for six months. I now take Calcium/D3/Magnesium daily and the holes in my bones have gone. :dbgrtmb: Maybe I have a delicate system ... but just saying. My hair colour is natural too, not bad for 71 young.

Good to see you back. :imphrt:
