Faces to names 2022

Nice to see you too Upsy! I don't paint my nails because someone (a man!) told me years ago that he thinks women paint their finger and toenails to hide the dirt. And a lot of his buddies think that too. I know that is nonsense but it just stuck to me. Silliness.

 

I've always admired your nails Vicky.....what's the secret please share.
My sister has fabulous nails but she doesn't have much gardening to do or washing up( dishwasher). Mine grow fast but crumble and split once they reach a decent length . They were worse when I was hairdressing as ,like now, I'm was not good at wearing protective gloves. With my low Calcium levels I know I should do more to look after them.

I have one bottle of varnish that I may wear 1 or 2 times a year ( Christmas definitely) or if I'm going somewhere special ( rarely )
But thats all.
My hands suffered a lot during my Hairdressing Apprenticeship and I was constantly going to my GP. for the whole 3 years.

 

I have always had long, strong nails as was my hair (until a couple of years ago). No secrets. Of course I have to take Calcium/D3 daily for Osteoporosis. I never wear gloves (gardening/cleaning) but have leather and fingerless gloves. I manicure most days. I rarely wear nail polish these days but have loads. Just wish my bones were as strong. Daily hand cream helps.

 

I do take my daily Vit D3 ,but sadly not so much my prescribed Calcium...not too agreeable .

I do use hand lotion but a bit and miss with establishing a routine......might have a go with nail creams

Even though it's winter I still like to wear bright colours.

Agree ... and I wear black and navy in the Summer.

 

Sort of an update on our hobby, and our faces. We have been busy with our Show Car Sasha. Anyone on Facebook can join her Facebook under Sasha Show Car. We have been traveling to lots of places with her. Just got back from Maryland, she won Best of Show 2nd place. The Street Scene magazine came in the mail yesterday, we are in it twice. So pics. below. Yes, that is me in passenger seat.
