Carleton - re Geraniums (Pelargoniums). Whilst I don't like spraying, I don't think you have any alternative. And you must keep spraying as even if you kill off all the adults their eggs will hatch and you will have a new generation. You can hang up those sticky yellow papers. But They don't do the job by themselves.

Hi Carleton,They sound like they could be Robins. We used to have one singing it's heart out in the Churchyard trees where we used to live.Because the church was lit up in the winter months with those large spotlights the Robins got confused and thought it was daylight.Reports started spreading across the country of Robins doing the same thing in other parts of the country. We have one that sings outside our house every morning even though it is dark and I think it could be the street lights that sets it off.

This is the first year since moving here six years ago that we have had one singing.Perhaps it is saying Thnkyou for feeding it.. or perhaps not

Hi Aster. I think you are posting in the wrong areas. Just follow the menus through to the subject you want to go to. If you have a new question or comment then if it's about say beginners gardening go to there and click on 'start a new thread.' The best person to advise you on this is Daisees. Try sending her a personal message by finding her name in a thread and clicking on it if you get really stuck.
