That is cheap Scrungee, but to be honest I really dislike the Anchor cheddar. It seems even more processed than Cathedral City (which is a perfectly good sandwich cheese to be fair).
Which makes my shame even more complete as I admit to quite liking Dairylea on toast with Bovril:dunno:

Is that toast first one side, turn over and spread on Bovril, then cheese, then grill?
Never tried it but I might have to have a go now Longk,

I always reckon that a good Manchego is the Spanish equivalent of a medium cheddar. :)

None of you have obviously tasted the Portuguese São Jorge from the island of the same name in the Açores (that's the Azores) ... wow, talk about bite your head off ...

              http://www.culturecheesemag.com/cheese-library/sao-jorge

DO NOT pay attention to the fact they say the flavour is mild ... :hate-shocked:

I do like the goat's cheeses here, soft and creamy and served with pumpkin jam ... yum, yum.

My favourite cheese ever since I was a kid, and the best for cheese on toast.

EDIT: Tried some 'Wensleydale & Whiskey' cheese free samples and it tasted disgusting.

I like most cheese but especially that Cheddar with the salty crystals in.

My least favourite is that horrible goat's cheese that they ruin all the veggie food with in pubs. If you're a veggie you have to like goat's cheese 'cos it's usually the only thing available.

I used to really like those small Camembert style cheeses flavoured with green peppercorns that they used to sell in Aldi. But discontinued. They. Discontinued. My. Favourite!

Any kind of soft blue cheese goes down well. Gorgonzola, Roquefort, Cambozola etc

Oh yes, and taleggio can be deliciously gooey without the sweaty sock aroma.

Manchego has a nice flavour, but very dry compared with cheddar - probably more similar to parmesan.

I love processed cheese spreads, Dairylea, La vache qui rie etc, having been conditioned to like them by my grandma at an early age.

I'm working my way thru a box of "Biscuits for Cheese"

There's a pile of sweet digestives in with them, now what on earth sort of cheese is meant to go with those?

Tried Brie, Stilton, Cheddar & Edam, doesn't go with any of those :dunno:

Yes I like most cheddar that has the crunchy bits, didn't know it was salt though.
Used to buy Cornish Quartz from Waitrose.
