    It's probably before the time of most of you but Blossom Dearie was one of the few female Jazz and Blues pianists/singers in the 50's and 60's but continued to record until near the end of the last century.

    I saw her live at Ronnie Scott's in 1966. :blue thumb:





    At about three minutes into this live recording she plays a four handed blues with Jack Dieval

              Just googled her she was one of the backing singers on Catch Bull At 4, she didn't actually sing the song herself on his albums.
              They dated for 7 yrs on and off, but she also kept dating her other boyfriend too. She mocked him a bit when he became a Muslim. He wanted her to stop taking drugs and drinking , sad that friendships can end so easily.

                I knew that she was a backing singer to start with.
