If you remember back to 1959, Marty Robbins had a big hit in many countries with this country and western song. El Paso reached No.1 in both the U.S. Pop and Country and Western charts and the top 20 in the U.K. and Australia.

He reached No.5 in the UK with Devil Woman in 1962 and in 1966 recorded the 'prequel' to El Paso, "Feleena" ('the girl that he loved').

This didn't get anywhere as it was too long!

That reminds me that also in 1959 this became a hit. It's not a song but a recitation and for some reason became popular but didn't hit the UK charts until 1963, where it got to No.5

Funnily enough it came from an original English story written in 1762 by Mary Bacon who was the wife of a farmer in Hampshire.

wink was an America radio DJ who was the first person to play Elvis's first record 'That's All Right'

This version comes from his 1968 come show - 14 years later.

I have heard them but not at that time, much later. Also I've heard the deck of cards but much later.

Ofcourse I've heard Elvis Presley but do you know that the Carpenters had more hits than him?

Remember this song and Cliff Richard had a show and she was always in it.

There's another video of this but couldn't embed it for some reason.
