Favourite weed?

    Im not really into fancy looking things I like plants for what they can do. I love nettle soup which is incredibly nutritious. Cleavers is another nutritious one and I love how it sticks to things.

    I suppose to look at Daisy is so beautiful in its simplicity.

    Have to agree! Nettle soup is the best, never tried 'sticky willy'! What do you do with it (I have plenty around the garden!)

    Well so far I've only had it as a tea which didn't taste of much. You can boil it in a pan and then strain the stringy bits... no idea what it would be like, maybe a bit bitter. Only one way to find out [​IMG] Its a shame to waste all these lovely things

    I like rosebay willowherb, it can look stunning in drifts. I have loads of poppies in my garden this year - I love them. Another "weed" I like is red/pink/white valerian, it grows out of the shingle around here.

    I'm told the definition of a weed is a plant that is growing in the wrong place, and that could be anything when you think about it!
