I did that when i was house hunting I never heard a thing from them not even a sorry we are not interested

The forms took ages to fill in and they wanted pictures of you and most of the info was on have you been on tv before? why do you want to be on tv? What parts of your personality would be good for tv? etc etc etc

the bit about what ur search criteria is and budget took seconds to fill out

That's what TV shows are about, selling yourself as being watchable. :)

It's what the TV company thinks is interesting that counts. :noidea: :) That company produces lots of highly bankable programmes.

Have you looked at Sarah Beenys online estate agency www.tepilo.com From what she was saying you could save yourself quiet a packet if you are in the process of either selling your home or looking to buy:smile:

Our village was the subject of Location x3 the other year and the wife of the couple picked our village to bits because it is close (13 miles ish)from Corby which could be seen as a rough area and is also full of plastic Jocks:snork:so she didn't give our village a chance, but then again we probably wouldn't want her living here anyway what with her attitude:biggrin:

We might be moving from here within a couple of years after Mr Kandy has retired so trying to get our house looking nice first,oh and we might be having to clear out Mr Kandys dads house and get it sold as it looks like he will soon be going into a home and his savings are not going to last long if he has to pay the care home £900 a week for his care/board and lodgings:yikes:

Good Luck though and hope you manage to find the home of your dreams soon:smile:

We drove from Manchester to just north of Dundee once (6 hours) to view a house which looked like it had a fabulously large garden for the dogs, only to find the garden was miniscule and the pictures were actually taken not to show the fence in between the garden and the farmer's field next door. We were NOT impressed.

                        Hi Ian,

My 'top tip' would be to buy a place in a good location - and go back there at night and the weekends to find out what it is really like.

I've fallen into this trap before - went out to see a bungalow located in a rural village. The village had its own pub, a small shop and a church - picture post card 'stuff'.

Purchased the bungalow and a week or so later found out to my dismay - people would drive through the village - sight seeing :thud:- to the point it was quieter in the middle of the city. All the tourists flocked to the local village pub at the weekends - we couldn't get in it for Sunday lunch!

As the TV programme says, location, location, location - you can change the house, not where it is located.:dbgrtmb:

I totally agree that the location is the most important part of moving.
