It keeps the heat in which is helping. The proof will be tomorrow, if I can spend a few hours outside without setting it off again I shall be well chuffed.

I'm not sure what happened about Kath (Peri) but I'm sure someone could tell you via a pm.

Well I've been wearing the Aldi back support all day whilst doing some more bricklaying. It has certainly helped, may back feels almost normal now.

Do you know I had forgotten all about this thread  That belt sounds great John pity I never saw them.

The injection I had was great while it lasted a couple of weeks I think. Had a real bad bout last

June that lasted for months never been in so much pain in my life. I couldnt even get down the stair

for about a month :cry3: Anyway a chiropractor was the answer, although I had to go private as the

NHS in our area will not pay for it. apparentley I had a twisted pelvis perhaps due to holding myself

awkward for many years. To cut a long story short it has worked wonders. It didnt happen over night

but Ive come a long long way. Now I do gentle exercises I have been given by the hospital that I do

every morning. If I had never gone to see the chiropracter the problem would never have been

solved. It cost £30 a session and was worth every penny.

That's great news 02. Those gentle exercises are the key, to help keep flexibility and some degree of strength. There's a lesson here for me, before the big spring clear up and dig of my veggie plot I'm going warm up and stretch first and only do a little at a time.

Here's an opinion from a fellow back pain sufferer - I slipped a few years ago while mopping the floor, and fell on my tailbone, damaging a nerve. Of course, I tried all the pills, the exercises, and resting it until I couldn't stand being still anymore. On the advice of a friend, I went to an acupuncturist. I had my doubts, but after 3 sessions, I have never had that pain again, and that was 5+ years ago. If you're at your wits end, keep trying things. You don't have to live with the pain, there's something out there that can help! Good luck.

Thats the key John its surprising how much stretching exercises work, remember to stretch out your muscles AFTER you have been digging also

Thats great news Laura, a lot of people dont have much faith in these kind of things but they do work for some people, you can only try these alernatives. Im pleased to say Im off pain killers now. I do worry what these long term pain killers my have on us.:what: (Welcome to GC) :dbgrtmb:

Personally I Am fortunate, Not to have Back Problems, But My Wife Does. She Purchased An Electric back Warmer some time Ago and this has Helped her a Lot.This Pad reaches from the bottom of her spine to about the middle of her back and it is tied onto the front by ties. she puts this on for about an hour while watching Television ,and it has helped her. :)
