Lol Sandra got to agree with you there a little girl has to have the works otherwise how is she supposed to play house properly?

I know what you mean Sandra regarding boys toys I brought our boys dolls when they were little even a barbie doll each needless to say Barbie had an accident when she met Action Man as she ended up with fingers chewed and a limb or two chopped off....maybe she just got caught up in the cross fire !:D Hel.xxx.

I finally remembered to take some new photos yesterday evening.

This is where we have got to so far:

We have put in to reasonable size beds either side of the steps, not much in there yet just a couple of lavenders either sidae of the steps - Hidcote, Kew Red and I think Barcelona Rose(?). We have aslo put in a couple of Echinacea, a bronze Fennel and anothe shrub whose name escapes me at the moment.

I hope to pick up a few more plants this weekend, and neeed ot finish staining the decking. Next job once that is finished is to tidy up the area at the other end of the garden, and then hopefully make a more permanent veg patch behind "Sunflower Cottage" (Emily's already named the playhouse - that reminds me I must make a name plaque)

Thank you all for your kind comments and encouragement, I'll keep you posted of progress. ;)

    Cheers

Tim Sunflower Cottage is so enchanting what a wonderful paint job both you and Emily did on it and the lovely flower is a delight no wonder Emily is so pleased.

One idea that might go well is giving little Emily a couple of containers to grow herbs in around the decking or maybe a wall basket attached onto her little cottage,as I'm sure she would just love to tend to some as most of them smell quite heavenly and are safe for children to mess about with.Hel.xxx.
