Thanks for posting the results Harry

Just got home & checked the Chill plants. 2 chillies set, about 2 inches long already. Polinated the other open flowers with a paintbrush.

I bought two of these a few years ago from Chilterns.

I grew one and saved the other, apparently some people use them as good luck charms or some such.

It from a tropical climber that grows the largest pods of any legume.

Trouble is I can remember the name :D:scratch:

Hi Mira, surprisingly the plant that came from the seed I germinated was a very thin climbing stem, I think it was a twiner.
It was difficult to keep, so I'm guessing its a true tropical rain forest type plant.
The kind that germinates and grows like the clappers for the forest canopy, and sunlight, before showing its true potential.

I think it might be called Entada rheedii..rampant climber ..I have never tried growing it but I recall buying one a bean on holiday once
Commonly known as the African Dream Herb or Snuff Box Sea Bean,

Thanks Dave, found it now in the catalogue.

In Chilterns its under Entada gigas, (monkey ladder vine).

It says the pods can be more than 6ft long.
