It's well within there budget as well, and they've already got on offer on their own property

Well, my parents were visiting this weekend so reluctantly let the estate agent do the viewing. Apparently they took so long looking around that they had to come back half an hour later!
They have some questions that they wish to ask.. Like proof of ownership for the driveway, does the solar panels heat just the swimming pool? (no - it also heats the house ) and other such things. They also asked if my parents would consider an offer

Sounds promising! Bring on tomorrow!

Well there goes that afterall!

Despite having a budget way over the asking price, they made an offer ridiculously under the asking price! It was turned down, and they made another offer but still way too far under so there we go. No sale there unfortunately!
However, one of the other viewers that still want to buy have lowered their price so fingers crossed.

On another disappointing note, the hurry is over as the property my parents want to buy has changed its tune. Originally for sale as either half the property for one price (the sellers wanted to purchase the neighbour property and keep half of their own), and for sale as a lot more money for the whole lot; they have now - after over 7 months - decided they don't like the neighbour property and so will only sell as the whole lot! Which unfortunately we don't want and cannot afford.

So back to house hunting now!

Our viewer was a total timewaster, got me to show her everything, ran the hot water to make sure it worked, opened all the windows & doors, dissed the calor gas hob saying it was so expensive (£60 a year for gas) & then said she didn't want it because its too close to the road and the veg patch wasn't big enough.

Funny that, don't think its got nearer the road since she looked at it last week.

AND she turned all my plants round on the windowsill

 

She turned 'em round cos they needed it I expect Ziggy. I would have done the same thing. I would have probably pinched out the tips of those that need to grow more bushy and I would have removed any dead or decaying leaves...

dont you just hate selling !!! people nosing about !!!

"dont like the garden" "lots of shrubs" " looks like hard work" " are you resurfacing the drive" No !!!! " love the garden dont like the house" I could go on .....

I had a couple once that plonked them selves on the settee , and didnt move off it just under a hour !!! I had to tell them in the end I needed to get ready to get to work , what really pea (vegetable) me off, didnt hear anything for 3 weeks , then had a knock at the door early after noon plus I was working shifts at the time and had only just got out of the bath, so not in the mood for visitors or anyone else , I opened the door and some woman who I realized had sat on the settee like she was a mate of mine 3 weeks earlier , was saying she liked my house but the one round the corner similar to mine was 10 thousand cheaper , I told her well buy that coz I aint knocking 10 thousand off for you , slammed the door in her face then went out pulled the for sale down and thought , I am not moving. I put it on the market 12 months later and it sold in one day and 20 thousand more.
And the family that bought it loved the house and the garden and the two little kids just coudnt believe they had there own Christmas tree.
