Forest soil?

    You've still not clarified, are you intending to steal this biomass from whatever forests there are in California, or do you own the land?

    Gardeners Corner can't be seen to be condoning theft. No matter what continent it is on.

    Cross posted there, no, go ahead. If you want to use nutrient from one part of your property to supliment the other then its fine.

    Just be aware that it will take the trees some years to replenish the leafmold that they have been building up.

    .....I own it just wanted to no if it would be good soil in general? There's a tree out there that fell last year I could dig up around that

    And I'm working on building a composter out of drum as we speak... Type, but I won't have any ready for awhile

    Another compost question. The compost I currently have doesn't seem to soak water in to well kinda sits on top, Wat could I mix in?

    Confusion will naturally follow when you say "the" forest instead of "my" forest :heehee: Apologies for not understanding :ccheers:

    To avoid any misunderstandings, and maybe giving the wrong advice, it would be helpful if you explained what you have been putting in as "compost"?
