@Scrungee - currently, it is Photobucket that is the issue, yes, and appears that when an account is affected ALL images within that account are affected. Snork and Fishing are two that have been caught up in this, and those two I cannot currently find (although I have only had one evening working on this so far).

Where these smilies were used (or other blocked images for that matter), you will see the message in their place, or a 'broken link' image instead - as soon as I can replace these particular smilies with the original images or a very near equivalent, they will reappear in past posts.

It seems that Photobucket are not liking hotlinked images, which I find quite amusing given that hotlinked images is pretty much the basis of their business - but if they want to pee off millions of users and have them do what we are doing and vote with their keyboards, then that is up to them

I wouldn't want you to spend hours sorting this out @Fat Controller - I'm sure we can all manage with the few basic smilies.

Some of the new ones do make me smile - a case of small things amusing small minds perhaps - but they are fine.

Tried checking my two dormant pb accounts, one no longer appears to exist, got into the other one, was inundated with adverts and demands for money, all the images were there but I couldn't download anything, then pb crashed.

Viewed a pb account (not mine) and numerous images had been replaced with that 3rd party hosting image, meaning they might be lost until that $400 (per annum!) ransom is paid, or maybe only the account owner can still view them if logged in and it's just another pb method of preventing images being shared.

Suggest this smiley for those continuing to perservere with Photobucket ...

It does seem pretty bad, just had a look at my old a/c which I haven't accessed for years. Here is a Mystery Object photo:

I'd have a look at mine if I could remember the email and password that I used to use.

I don't have an awful lot of time to spend on it even if I wanted to @JWK, hence the somewhat quick 'lash up' of a resolution. I am working tomorrow, but hopefully tomorrow night or Sunday I will get a chance to sort a new host site and move stuff over.

I think I will change the categories to 'Standard Smilies' and 'Large Smilies' and that will hopefully make it easier to choose.

I always think the terms "standard" and "large" to be purely ... subjective ... terms  :heehee:

Just for clarity, are we still talking smileys here, or have we graduated to asparagus? You know that @Beckie76 will be interested if we are talking asparagus......

I have to agree, I was very impressed by @Beckie76's bush - indeed, I probably should have asked if I could give it a more thorough check over
