    They are real snails Mira. Girt African Land Snails.

    I gave mine a chalk rock to eat for their shells, they ate that but left the fossils in it.

            wait wait - all to be decided yet...trying to picture myself going to sleep and the snail waking up (apparently they are nocturnal) and trailing around chewing salad...
