Some (many?) dogs will roll in Fox's pee and poo, luckily our Dog has no interest in either.

If using human pee, use a young Male pee and don't use Female

FC pee into spray bottle and spray around your garden daily

:ideaIPB: I could do........... I could even do different varieties - Saturday and Sunday morning being the high alcohol version

I will try and find out where he is getting in, but I reckon it is definitely over a fence - the trouble is they are all 6ft high fences all round, so goodness knows where the exact entry point is.

Do you have a side gate and alleyway to garden, he may get through the bars

Do any of your neighbours keep hens? That would lure a fox into the area.
Are they any take-away/restaurants near to you? That would also lure them.
Any neighbours not quite so particular about how they keep their rubbish?

Agree with @Mark56 about this time of year, so, you need to get this sorted quite quickly and deter the fox from making *your* territory *his* ;)

Totally agree @Scrungee your dog may well be rolling in any scent - thankfully, Ozzy has never shown any interest, which is a good job with his coat!

Human urine is a good idea ... any leftovers tip into the compost bin because it is good for that too.

@Sandy Ground is right about the fences, so look over the top of your fencing and see what the neighbours have on the other side which may/may not be giving them easy access. Truth is more likely they are coming under rather than over (do you still have that large conifer against the fence? Could that be hiding an area they are getting in?)

Good luck, FC - if there is a way to solve it, I know you will find it

The foxes that get into my garden are getting over a 6ft fence.
Agreed, under rather than over is the preferred route.

Even see them sunbathing on my shed roof, , up until recently I thought they didn't climb well, but they do.

I do have a gate on the alleyway, but it has a hardwood panel on it, and I deliberately added a thick wooden post at one side to keep the dog in when he was a pup.

            Gate.png

I've checked the all round the fences for holes, and there are none, so he must be coming over. I reckon that he is camping out somewhere around the garages that are on the other side of my neighbours garden. There are dogs in most of the other gardens, so I doubt he is camping in any of them.

@"M" one of our neighbours used to keep hens, but they moved out - and the day before they did, the hen hut burned down (their son snuck in there to smoke pot, and dropped a match or something) - mice galore for a couple of weeks.

He was an eejit - they had a house fire a couple of years ago, that was allegedly started by a motorcycle battery on charge blowing up. Oddly, they didn't own any motorcycles, and in all the years I have been around lead-acid batteries I have never, ever, seen one spontaneously combust........

Cannabis and brainless laddie more like

They were bloomin' lucky to have insurance as the damage was extensive. Part of the reason they moved away was to get him away from the people he was hanging around with. I believe they are now living in the middle of nowhere, so it is harder for him to get the pot etc
