Why are they being got rid of - that looks like a lovely little rose bed - a bit barren of anything else though.

I've always got space for roses - so count me in please :D

The bed is at the right of the house.

Such a shame - come June roses would look good against that corner. Can they be posted bare rooted - I'll gladly pay the postage - or

    any other ideas???.

As they will have started to shoot - uprooting won't do them a lot of good - but with a bit of TLC most should recover. Be interesting to see what varieties they are.

PS - glad to hear the Elm is doing OK. Piccie please when it leafs

Fran...I just don't know what to do...it will be a shame if they get binned...I am tempted to get what I can and find space until a good home can be found. But I come across this quite often and you have to turn a blind eye.
Bedfordshire,North..South..etc;...how close I wonder to my location...??

This is exactly what happened to the main showcase gardens of the RNRS - closed for re-furbishment, and all plants removed, with any members who wanted it, being able to take away what they wanted. I got a few! :D

Not sure exactly where the Vale of Evesham is (hanging head)- I live just outside Milton Keynes on the Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire border. Maybe I could collect some from you, if it ain't too far - or if your in my area??.

Unfortunately renovating a garden can mean casualties, but I would be loath to see healthy roses go.

You're not that far away, Fran - head west - Cotswolds!! If I still live in Hemel I'd give it a go - but not from near Edinburgh, unfortunately!!

You haven't got friends near Falkirk that you desperately want to visit, have you?? :D I'd always give a home to the odd rose! And I've still got tons of space to fill!

:D Furthest North I've been is Carlisle!

Fran,I am working in Wardington near Banbury Friday first thing and could drop through Buckingham on route to Nether Winchendon instead of the M40.

Thanks for the piccie - and I hope they will survive. See you tomorrow - I'm in for a busy day tomorrow I think - but if they all survive twill be worth it.
