Totally understand, and if you aren't spending a small fortune laying a hedge then it's definitely worth a shot!

        Looks absolutely fantastic @Prkns :)

One suggestion if I may - you might want to consider some screening atop your fences, particularly those around the patio, purely for privacy

@fat controller, i was thinking the same thing but i don't know what way would look best but also provide the most privacy. I don't suppose you've got any examples that you could send over to me do you?

I would say something like this would be just the job; you can also paint it to match your fences too

          UPDATE:

          Growing
The grass has packed out quite a lot and is looking a lot healthier and lot more green since the over-seeding :)

          Stones
Started to add the stones to the areas that i can at the moment... They clean up all of the lines and look awesome!

          Snail
I've been wanting to get some more wildlife in the garden. New build housing estates manage to destroy any nature that might have been there previously, but slowly, things are coming back.

          Compost bin
I never in a million years thought that i would need a compost bin. Turns out, since i started gardening, it's one of those things that i've been looking forward to getting.

          Veggies!
I planted my veggies not much over a week ago and this is the growth of the Kale so far! Can't wait to eat my home grown food!

          Climbers
They're obviously quite happy in this spot... They're growing at a rate of knots!!

          Healthy Lawn
After the amount of work and preparation that i put into this lawn, it's brilliant to see my efforts paying off. The grass is most definitely greener over my fence ;)

          Status
I've been banned from buying more plants until RHS Tatton Park at the end of this month. That's fine by me, everything that i've already planted in the garden so far is keeping me busy!

Small update, next steps of the garden progress will be over the next couple of weeks! Can't wait!!

              New Flags Pt 1
So; the flags are finished! Loving the extra space i've gained! Everything in the garden is padding out nicely too!

              New Flags Pt 2
Another angle of the new flags... so much more space up at the top end of the garden now. Moved the bins over to the other side of the patio too so that i can't see them when i look out of my patio doors

Looking good mate! A nice wooden bin store would look great to cover those up. Thinking of doing one myself. :-)

@Guesty , yea i was thinking about something like that, but i also thought about making an ivy fence too? Problem is, i only have space for 2 bins in that bit of the garden with the 3rd bin in front of the gate so i'm always going to have one on show unfortunately

I was tempted to do something like this and make a feature out of them.

I have thought of something similar.

Hopefully will have some wood spare once I have finished the shed! :-)

@"M", it's a 7ft x 5ft... i didn't want anything bigger due to the size of the rest of the garden

@Guesty, i'm going to have to measure up and see what i need to make something like this... just a shame that i can't all 3 in a line against that fence :(
