Fantastic photos, Dave, the detail is amazing :gnthb:

I especially like the first one in the first lot and the second one in the second lot. Well, I like them all but these two are my favourites. :flwsml:

Dave W .... you are just blessed to have such a variety of birds to come visit you ... and that they are not shy coming up to your window feeding area!

Lovely shots .... thank you for sharing them. :flwsml:

    Superglue:lollol:

Thanks for the nice comments folks. I've not been able to get out and about with the camera for the last few weeks so all recent snapping has had to be done at home.(No health probs - just a lot of 'things' on the go).
We've loads of birds in and around the garden as despite the fact that we are in the middle of a village we've a well established garden with trees and hedges for the birds to hop around. I put the window sill feeder up last year, mainly so that Mrs W could see the birds better, but it has proved great from the photography aspect too.
I'm still experimenting with exposures - trying to find optimum values. And still waiting for that ruddy robin to pose for the camera.

All these photos are on the back lawn just near the patio by the kitchen.

I posted a couple of photos of this one on another thread but he is now back as a regular in the garden.

These two, and some of their relations, are around all year.

    Thanks Kandy and Dave :gnthb:,

Dave, it is a green woodpecker. I put some other pics of it on 'The Camera In Your Pocket' thread and on page 6 of that thread I put some Jays.

The common sparrow (spug up here) is really quite a handsome little chap.

Saw the wren hopping about below the chairs on the patio. Very difficult to catch as it was bopping and hopping like it was on stretched elastic. Difficult to get the exposure right (I didn't) as it was was in shadow and I was behind a window.
