Fuchsia fruits

    Well I could not resist I have just tries my fushia berries (after first checking the links as I wasn't too sure if this was true.)
    It was ok not peppery and very juicy, although I only nibbled it I was reluctant to put the whole berry in at once.
    I will now remove the berries as I have learnt it weakens the plant. Shall I make a fruit crumble with some apple? It works with blackberries so why not fushia berries. Will my family eat it?
    I dont want to encourage my 9 yr old to start eating any types of berries berries he also likes to cook so we could easily be poisoned if he gets it wrong I will have to think this one through do I tell him or not??

    Go ahead and cook the pie and just say its apple and some exotic fruit [​IMG]

    I stewed the berries with sugar in a separate pan all the purple colour came out but they tasted awful and peppery :eek: so they never made the crumble. I will stick to just the apple in future.
