I think my snowcap and 2 dollar princesses have died in winter. The deltas Sarahs have made it but regrowing from the very bottom. My deltas Sarah in a pot which I popped in the GH is the only one actually regrowing from the branches. Shame about the snowcap as I didn't get too see too many blooms on it last year as it got crowded out by dahlias. Oh well. I have 2 blacky, a hawkshead and something else white (trailing one) in the GH and I will take cuttings this year too.

 

Sorry Longk, there are climbing fuchsias although I agree Lady Boothby isn't one of them.
They are..... Ayavacencis, Cercea, Corollata, Decussata, Furfuracea, Gehrigeri, Harlingii, Hartwegii, Rivularis, Sanmartina, Simplicicaulis, Sylvatica, Venusta, Verrucosa, Vulcanica ,Jimenezia.

These are all species of which F. Rivularis can climb over 30 ft.

There is a new hybrid out this year which is supposed to be a climber called Pink Fizz, but I think like Lady Boothby and Black to the fuchsia the jury's still out.

 

Don't apologise - that's a whole new world of Fuchsia species to me there!
Are they true climbers (as in they twine around support) or scrambling Fuchsia (like F.perscandens and F.procumbens)?

 

They're described as being Liane vines (Lianoid), as in as they grow they twist themselves around other plants for support.

 

Now I want some! Off for a mooch to see what I can find.

Now that is a lovely Fuschia @Sheal Just given it a good Google , is it fully hardy bush type ?

 

@longk , some of these threads always seem to work out expensive ! I am not going to read anymore

Yeah, Harry S, it is fully hardy and it's the only one that you can put in shade or sun and it stays white. In the shade it seems to sparkle.
