    Well, I don't believe what's happening now........

I'm sorry to everyone who wants a " Space Shuttle ".

Normally it flowers from around November to about April then starts to grow so you can take cuttings. I managed to get a couple off it but now this has happened..................

    WP_20160704_004.jpg

Even the new shoots coming from the base are budding now ......

Don't worry though folks, I'll keep on trying :)

Some of my winter blooming Salvia are budding up as well. This summer has been a total non-event IMO.

Then why haven't they stripped your baskets bare of the lining? I tried everything here that looked nice but the Sparrows stripped them bare, I had to line them with compost sacks that I cut up. They even stripped the threads from Duck tape that I put round an outside pipe!:biggrin:

I bought these for this year and I'm pleased with them so far. :)

                  I don't know Lol

The only thing they seem to pinch are the dead bits off the Festuca and Carex grasses.

I think they know when they're well off....... They get fed three times a day and we even give them a bowl of soaked mealworms every day at 1 o'click :)

Blimey, your Sparrows are spoilt rotten! That's probably why they leave your baskets alone.....they wouldn't bite the hand that feeds them!

                      Exactly :)

When we sit out the back there are some who come and sit on the fence and watch us. We reckon they think we're gonna feed them, but we don't. They only have food out the front at set times.

They're so funny sometimes, next door have a shed and when we come home from town they all fly over and sit there waiting for their soaked worms.

Hi people. Dollar Princess according to label. In tub with Winston Churchill. Are they OK to keep outside as they are over winter?

                          Hi Rustler,

Yeah, they're both hardy but they need to be planted around 3" deep.
If you can, during the Summer try to build the soil level up around the stems as they turn to wood.

Hi all, first the good news. A lot of my fuchsias are beginning to look really good. There is a mixed tub and a container of Happy Wedding Day. Not quite in flower yet but certainly coming on from the small plugs they started off as. IMG_0543.jpg IMG_0540.JPG
