    Sorry, no :(

Only the species as long as they're not grown next to another Fuchsia. F. Procumbens is the most reliable. I pollinated these myself just to be sure :)

No cultivar would come true because they all have complicated family trees.

I guessed that would be the answer, as with all hybrids. :)

I'm going to try more this year from seed, just to see what comes from them. There seems to be more ones with yellow becoming available now so I might have a go with mine, I've got 1 with a yellow tube and 2 with yellow corollas. Might be interesting :)

Remember the discussion that we had about 'Microphylla' last year......

              http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/fuchsias-2015.89809/page-17

Having lost both of mine back then because I'd put them in the ground I asked my brother recently if he would take more cuttings from my mum's plant. This is what I received today.

He's dug out and sent me the whole plant! :) Sadly my mum has had to move into a retirement home and my brother is currently clearing her house ready for sale. Some of the plants are being removed too.

Anthony would you give me advice about pruning please as it's looking rather scruffy. It's about 2ft in height. I've potted it today in a mixture of garden soil and mpc.

                Hi Sheal,

Sorry to hear about your mom, but at least you know she'll be safe and well looked after.

Yeah, I remember that discussion :)

To be honest with you, it looks a nice bushy healthy plant. I think all I'd do is prune all the branches back to a nice pair of shoots around 6" from the base and then remove totally any branches that are crossing over each other to make sure they don't rub against each other and to keep a nice air flow going through the plant. However, if there are any thick woody branches, try not to cut into these too much unless you cut them off right at the crown ( base ) of the plant.

Think of all the cuttings you'll be able to take :)

Was it growing outside ? If so, I think I'd keep it cool. As repotting, pruning and being put into the warmth might be too much of a shock for it.

                  Hi Woo,

In a few weeks I would prune it back to just above the two pairs of shoots you have on it. Then when these have grown so they have 3 pairs of leaves I would just pinch out the growing tips.

Depending on the time line you could do a further pinch on each of the resulting shoots. That way, from that one branch you'd end up with around 8 flowering shoots.

Thanks Anthony. :dbgrtmb: It was in the ground in clay soil at my mum's in Essex so it's a bit of a shock for it coming north to a damp island. Having lost the previous plants I'm not going to risk this in my sandy soil, so it will spend a week in my cold greenhouse and then I'll stand it on my patio.

Most of the branches are quite woody so perhaps I shouldn't prune it back quite as hard as you suggest, I will remove crossing branches and give it a tidy up though. :)

I love Fuchsias and I've got quite a few.
They are in a Perspex shelter on the side of my garage at the moment, but none of them are flowering. In fact they haven't got any leaves at all.

:wow: @Michael Hewett what a wonderful collection of fushia's, I can't wait for those to all be on flower. Do you move them on to your patio in the summer?
