ah - so there might be some method to my (drunken) madness !

Unfortunately, convservatory company have gone bust & taken my deposit with them, so I need to sort something else out - its turning into a really difficult year all round.

Oh - and its absolutly tipping down. again.

Maybe - I only got the letter saying that they were insolvent & were going to wind the company up this week, so its going to take a few months before anything happens - my gut sez that its the last I will see of it, but you never know. I did a fair bit of research before talking to them so I dont think it was a con - I think that they just ran out of money with delays in the bad weather & couldnt get any more from the bank.. theres a lot of it going on !

Whats really annoying me is I ripped up my patio & stacked everything on the lawn so they could get started, so not only have I had nowhere to sit during the odd not-raining evening, Ive killed off a load of the grass too.

Still - I will sort something else out & hopefully get it sorted for the Indian Summer that we are all hoping for ; and Im going to pop some of the strange "Naked Fuchsia" seeds in the propagator tomorrow to see if they will germinate.

i always worry when picking plants up in garden centre or any where , that someone has pushed label back into a wrong pot, seen lots of plants with pictures of for eg red flowers ,and the plant is showing beautiful white blooms ,so I try to buy in flower and can see what i`m getting

If anyone knows of a true evergreen Fuchsia, I'd love to know.. I guess the closest we can get currently is Phygelia..

Totally chuffed! I've just found the first flower buds forming on my first seed grown Fuchsia.................

          DSC_2581.jpg

It's F.procumbens, one of the native New Zealand species. Seeds were only sown just before Christmas and started germinating mid February.

That's unusual Keith. As I've mentioned before, you don't DO ordinary. I like its prostrate habit - will it always grow in this way?
