    Hi Davy.
    My 2 main shows are [1]the Scottish which is the first weekend in September and [2]Central Scotland the second weekend of September,
    I normally do Ayr flower show but due to work unable to make it this year, which is this weekend.
    I think you will find a lot of the older cultivars still hold their own on the show bench Shelford, Nellie Nuttall,Tom West, Alison Patricia & Thalia to name just a few.
    The newer cultivars don't seem to have the staring power, last for a couple of years then drop out of favour.
    Sophire Louise, Ernie, Barbara Reynolds, Border Raider tend to be the bankers.

      I will have a look out for some of these you mention and maybe give it a go next year ..

        Just thought I would share my favourite with you all. I got it from potash nurseries, they had a stand in the RHS tent at the NEC the other month.

        Hopefully will be taking some cuttings this year :) I know it's been around a while....but still lovely!! It's as old as me too!!

          No problem Davy, always take far to many cuttings and struggle to find room for them all, let you know what i have once we get the winter over.

            Where can I get white hardy fuchsia local garden centres dont have ?

            Still not found a hardy white but found varigeted gennii .

            Still looking for a hardy white.

            This is not hardy but nearly open Kit Oxtoby.

              Like Kit Oxtoby Kath..Another old variety just coming into flower ..this seems to stand the rain quite well ..
