Bit late as I'm just home but this was the treat we had for the Lunar Eclipse on Saturday night. Decided to go down to the beach at Kirkaldy after a trip to Asda. What you can't hear are the seals mewing on the rocks. Very atmospheric under a dull blood-red moon!

Oh wow, what a shot of the moon. We saw the start of the eclipse, but then forgot to look after that and missed it all.

Great photo- I watched with aid of monocular. Dogs all barking round here, don't know if this was coincidence or if they didn't like the colour!

It wasn't my 1st Lunar Eclipse but it was theirs, I hope I've made some more converts to Earh Sciences

Yes, very nice frogesque ... shame I can't see let alone hear anything ...

Did Asda get to you or something? I think you need to go have a rest now.

Ah! My webhost has been very flakey today. It wasn't exactly offline but it was either taking ages for pics to load or they were left hanging without completing. All seems to be better now so I guess someone got the web sticky plasters out. :D

I still don't see anything and I can't see FANCY's signature either except for the kitten!

GC is very slow for me this morning.

Just as an aside, the Full moon on the 30th June is also known as a Blue Moon!

When there are two full moons in the same month the second is called the Blue Moon - hence the phrase "once in a blue moon" meanig not very often.
