Garden centre plants without labels

    Have grown Skimmias for years as bought plants and cuttings. Never new that there was a problem with sexing them ( maybe just lucky?).

    Apparently you get more berries on the female plant if planted next to a male.

    Johnny, the hermaphrodisic ( self pollinating )Skimmia is called Reevesiana. And PeterS you are right about the Lobelia caddinalis. David.
