They are going down 1metre and then filling that with hard core ?(no comments):loll: then the usual sand under the slabs, I will get the same depth in topsoil.:WINK1:

The front slopes towards the bungalow and they have laid Eco drains ??:what: against the property. We have always had drainage problems in the back garden but the front has always drained well:scratch:

That took a long time, but hopefully all will now prove enjoyable and a vast improvement on what was there before
No doubt you will let us see updated pics in due course :)

So they have near enough finished :happydance: ,I was going to have borders around the trees, but think not :dunno:. Also I was going to put a large planter in the centre ,gone off that aswell,:rolleyespink: so will just have 2 troughs under the windows. I have got nearly all my plants back in the borders just 6 small hebes to go in. :phew:

As you can see the front edge of the grass is dying back,:help: they had to relay part of the path and the tarmac spillage has killed it :gaagh:,but the rest is growing well, nearly time for the first cut .

    Hi Dai

You cant see from that pic but there is a red leaved (lost the name:what:)flowering cherry being obscured by the birch, also to the right is a white "snow goose" flowering cherry:heehee:, so the whole make a sort of triangle
