    Probably a self portrait.

Must admit, I quite like the odd one or two cement type things in my garden in the correct place. But just for amusement and nothing serious yea.:thumb:

Garden gnomes...not sure if I like them, but nothing against them.:thumb:

I think it's funny when someone borrows a gnome from anothers garden then send photos of it back to the owner from places all over the world!!

As long as there isn't too many of them, I think some nicely placed ones can really make the garden look nice.

I like them all myself, just going back to the post about travelling gnomes-I have heard of someone swiping a gnome from a garden and then sending ransom notes-hilarious.

I have a few of those mushrooms which my kids have painted up, and loads of homemade bird feeders and bug palaces. I can`t abide those faces that people nail to their trees though-it`s an atrocity.

My kids leave things outside-rubber snakes, plastic insects etc, and my daughter has a little post box for the mail to and from the faeries.

I have a few little japanese type things myself. (I have a bird feeder to though, a simple made out of stone one) Mostly little japanese laterns that sit around the pond, they look really nice at night time, lit up.

Well, my collection so far consists of one terracotta duck with the head glued back on, after it had a fight with one of my cats, and a "mousy" bird bath similar to the one in the picture with wich I started the thread, which I bought yesterday, and must yet install. I had set up the duck to look down into the water barrel in the lawn, but had to move it after it fell in twice, lol.
What I really love are old stone or terracotta pieces full of moss and lichens, lions, turtles, greyhounds, gargoyles. One of the funniest things I ever saw was a rather realistic hippo head floating among waterlilies in a pond way too small to cantain such a beast.

I once toyed with the idea of developing a solar powered flashing gnome (and I don't mean a light) but never got round to it. Might appeal to some people!
