    I prefer slabs, very low maintenance. If you don't like Riven how about "sawn" (if that's the right term?) although don't know if they are more slippery when wet?

    There was a Chelsea garden this year - celebrating 100 years with various little bits for the decades - the M&G Centenary garden "Windows through time" - and that looked very smart with its sawn slabs.

    It showed up well in an aerial shot on BBC ... but can't find a decent still image on Google :(

    Jekyll the granite looks excellent and I can afford it! Did they come out as good in real life as they do in the pic?

    I used it indoors as well, cheaper than carpeting. Outside it is laid with the 'flamed' (rough) surface up to give grip in the wet. Indoors I laid it with smooth side up

      Apart from the gender-swap its a rather serendipitous malapropism!

        You tend to suffer from that problem on GC to Kristen or is it Kirsten. I've corrected a few along the way! :biggrin:
