Really enjoyed watching the programme Cheng. It was just great seeing you in your own garden. As Roders says - our very own TV star!!!

The best looking competitor by far.
    Well done [IMG]

I thought your home garden was very nicely set out, tidy and looked fantastic.

Whilst I could easily have given the RHS staff a run for thier money on the practical tasks Im afraid my plant knowledge is a tad lacking when it comes to identification on the spot!

With the exception of trees im mostly limited to common names.

Did anyone else think the plant id was tough?

Imo the design task is all subjective.

Edit, I have always pinched penstemone cuting as Maurice did and have had great success the judges were talking balls!.

Cheng - so well done. A very interesting program. They went over the plant id pretty quickly, and not really in a way that we at home could test our knowledge. But the Master Gardiner questions was in a form we could all have a go at.

Cheng like all the other guys and girls on here I was rooting for you sorry about that pun!

It was a pleasure to watch and you were very graceful throughout, I'm sure you enjoyed yourself something rotten as you sure looked as if you did.

I would have liked you to have gone through further naturally especially to the planting border section as I'm sure you would have done a far better job than the two guys at that task.

It took some guts girl...way to go Cheng! [IMG]

Congratulations Cheng on getting through as far as you did,all credit to you [IMG] though in a way I was hoping that Maurice would do well as her comes from my home town. Those plant identifications were very hard.Pamapas Grass was easy but I couldn't have told you the latin name for it.

Your garden is fantastic and I think you have done a fantastic job with it [IMG] [IMG]

Friday evening is usually the high spot of my week, I enjoy watching the gardening programmes with a glass of vino tinto to hand, but last night was the best. Even my non-gardening neighbour was keen to watch and we were both on the edge of our seats cheering you on. We loved your garden, so full of interest and beautifully kept. I agree with Helen, would have loved to see you in the border design section, am sure you would have knocked spots off the others.
Thank you for drawing attention to the programme and well done for getting so far, if the competition had been better designed I am sure you would have been among the finalists.
