        I absolutely agree, I wouldn't know how to talk about plant species, native/ non-native plants etc if we couldn't use these terms, they seem perfectly fit-for-purpose to me.

        I thought you knew which buttons to press by now!

                  Whist I appreciate gardening was just used to demonstrate the authors point, I feel that a link made between any hobby and racism is not for the good, however it is made.
                  It just seems a shame that gardening has been put in the spotlight and this gentle hobby may attract unwanted attention and disharmony amongst a proven inclusive group.

                    It would appear that I have a crisis of my racial identity as I like Wallander and other Scandanavian dramas (about 23mins in):nonofinger:
                    The bit about GQT is 25mins in. The academics made something of nothing. The middle Britain press then made something of that nothing!

                    Otherwise known as invent stuff that isn't there:heehee:

                    Here's my Black Mans Willy!!

                        I find your reaction interesting and I feel that we should explore it further. As we already know, my enjoyment of Scandinavian drama is indicative of built up, possibly even suppressed, racial issues. But let us consider this for a moment - maybe my predilection to showing off my Black Mans Willy at every opportunity speaks to us about deep down gender issues. Maybe it is also telling us something about size insecurity through societies stereotypes............................

                        :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

                        Seriously though, could you imagine a society that had to think like that for fear of upsetting anyone, ever!

                          :yikes: I couldn't live like that. I say exactly what I want to but am careful to be tactful in the right company. If people are being too PC then I gently take the Pee out of them :heehee:. Does that just leave them with a C? :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                            Nice work if you can get it!

                            Aren't they a bit on the small side? And while we are being thoroughly, offensively stereotypical, what's their sense of rhythm like?

                              A certain amount of PC thinking is beneficial and drives social progress - otherwise we'd still be exposing disabled babies at birth, buying black slaves in the marketplace and stoning gays. No idea if and when we should draw the line, though.
