It is ... also called the Tree of Love, and it's about five years old now. Should be in full bloom shortly so may get a good shot for the comp.

Going up to Monchique where I took a lot of the pictures of the Acacia mearsii, just before you get to them the road is lined with these so it will go from fabulously yellow to fabulously shocking pink shortly!

Worth growing just for the blossom never mind the yummy fruit later in the year. It's a dwarf pot/patio type thats been overwintered in the greenhouse. Label calls it a peach tree but fruit is smooth and sweet - who cares - it's a beauty!

That is such a striking colour, frogesque! I obviously missed when you posted.

Here is our first Citrus aurantifolia (Bearrs Lime) blossom and the tree is heaving with buds ...

and a cluster of Citrus sinensis (Orange blossom) ... the air is absolutely heady with the scent of them at the moment ...

I'm not very good with distinguishing blossom so I made notes. [IMG] [IMG]

    Black plum (can't remember variety)

Golden plum (never knew variety as tree is older than me)

    Conference pear

If you put all three in front of me I wouldn't know the difference. [IMG] [IMG]
