So can we still place a review in a relevent forum ourselves?

To be honest, Cacadores, it makes sense and is a lot easier and :coffee: neater if all book reviews went under this thread rather than higgly piggly all over the forums. That way you know there's only one place for book reviews and recommendations.

Doesn't seem a lot to ask to me.

A new thread, worthy of inclusion, is unlikely to happen more often than once a month.

One/many MODs will be reading/participating in the thread anyway. Only worthy threads need be included, so it isn't going to be threads with only a couple of messages ...

If it was several times a week I agree it would be unreasonable.

I'm happy to maintain the threads, but I'd have to author them to be able to do that.

And...one place in which to post the results of a creative process which may take a member some time, and one place where they may hope for some feedback.

Well, let's give it a go that way and see if it works. Who's to begin?

Um, just to avoid being rapped on the knuckles for straying off topic from irises:snork: Kristen and I both agreed that 'The Well-Tempered Garden' by Christopher Lloyd is an essential read when planning a garden....Christo's 'Foliage Plants' book is also a good basis for planning an interesting all-year-round garden. They're old but still relevant, especially when used in conjunction with internet nursery catalogues for finding recent improvements of old cultivars.

The sticky thread at the top don't work for me. I actually never look at them!:wallbanging: I use the "spy" function a lot, because it is very handy for a quick glance. Also I use the "what's new" option.

There are quite a few options on how to navigate the Forums, Java, as you say and it's a case of different methods for different folks..........which ever works best for the person using it:snork:

Has this board died? The links in previous posts seem to be dead.
