    My Dad has just told me that my Uncle,a farm worker,used to graft Roses on to Hawthorns. Ever heard of that Woo?

    :thmb: The red rose is beautiful Woo..!!! My grand daughter just told me she thinks it looks like you have dusted it with Fairy dust....!!!:D What a beauty.! The pink is gorgeous too.. Do they smell..???:)

    Sprinkled with Faerie dust-what a lovely expression, and so apt. The kiddies do see the beauty in it all don`t they.


    My Queen of Denmark has just opened, and as I haven`t really posted much on this thread-and as it is an exceptionally beautiful and clean pink, I will. If I ever enter a show it will be with this bush, I just need a few more like this.

    also my white "flower carpet" has been a reet good doer this year, masses of flowers that come again and again. It isn`t a show winner but thats not what I love it for

    Woo, you are a wonder with all the health on those blooms. And my inspiration too, I will get mine the same way.

    Don`t worry too much Paul, I will have one instead:luv:-it needs to be vigorous, to cover up my rather suspect diy skills with the trellised seating at the bottom of the garden.:thmb:

    Oooh, Lovely Woo-that was one of the ones I got from Lidl bare rooted, so that has me all excited for next year.

    Thank you Lollipop and you certainly will have something to look forward to:)They are superb Roses and will grow to at least 6ft or 7ft High If you want them to and are Disease resistant,at my last place of work I had 600 of these roses in one Elizabethan Rose Garden,I was in Heaven:):thumb:

    I have it planted next to my Queen of Denmark-I know it`s a sad cliche but I am going to build up a bed based on Monarchy.

    I`ll have to hide this thread from my hubby-he always groans when I pull out the rose catalogues.
