    I'd completely forgotten about this thread, shame as I have had some really lovely veg this year and if only I'd taken some photos I would definately have won :heehee:

        I had some rubbish veg this year, and if only I'd entered it late at night on the last day I would have won.

          I had a so so year, my patty pan's are making a late spur, and the french and runner beans are taking over. But, after taking into account the weather and the wildlife who took a liking, it was not so bad. At least I know what I shall plan for next year.:psnp:

          Our runners were excellent this year but I wouldn't enter them in the competition. I think I have an unfair advantage with, at the height of the season, picking close to 100lb per week.

          That's how Mrs Shiney manages to win first prize for beans every year in the local show! :heehee:
          Although, to be fair to her, she wins over a dozen prizes each year :dbgrtmb:

          Funnily enough, my pathetic runners made a late effort to reprieve themselves (Polestar) and haven't made a bad job of it :)
