When i was at the hospital the other afternoon there was a young couple sitting opposite each other{I would say they were in their early twenties}and the whole time they sat there they were texting to each other,rather than sit side by side and have a proper conversation.Also there was a big sign up on the wall that stated that all mobile phones had to be switched off.I expect it because it wasn't in text speak this young couple obviously couldn't read plain English

I have a mobile phone,mainly for emergencies and it does anooy me when people are walking round the supermarkets talking to their dearly beloved about the price of food and should they buy this or that item.It probably costs more in phone calls than what the product costs if they are on pay as you go and why oh why do they have to talk so loud

Shiney,we always think the people talking on the phone are talking to us but when we turn round if it is in a supermarket the phone person usually has one hand in the chest freezer rummaging about through the stuff and the other hand holding the phone.I sometimes wish i could put a few mouse traps in the freezers,that would soon sort them out

 

I was driving between Axminster & Chard, a 60mph zone, but quite bendy & hilly, not many places to overtake. The woman in front was driving between 20-30mph, oblivious of the fact she was holding me up because she was chatting away on her mobile.

After a few miles of this we got to one of the few places to overtake, a steep hill going up. I overtook her & dropped into second, slowing down right in front of her, she couldn't change down gear as she was using the gear hand to keep the phone clamped to her ear.

I pulled away and left her stalled on the hill, hope she got the message.

 

Ziggy you made me choke on my sandwich.....that is hilarious!! Truely inspiring, I will have to remember that one in the future. I like my mobile phone, but I would never use it when I'm driving.

It always amazes me how many people I see applying full make-up whilst driving to work.
