aye, i prefer it since toby took over, he seems to give a lot more tips on how to do things, might not suit the more experienced gardener, but very useful for me!!

I gave it 5 mins on I player before switching to something else...... 4 more mins than in the past with MD but only to give TB a chance.

With you on that one Woo I think he is a very good choice for a presenter, what you have to remember Pro a lot of people are just starting out on gardening and to have it presented at a basic level is just what's needed,if you had watched it right through even you might have picked something up. :plant:

I watched it on iplayer last night and thought it was just right for me, I learnt a couple of new things like how to compost pernicous weeds. I am looking forward to how that greenhouse develops over the year.

I think Toby Buckland is great. I've seen him on programmes before and he's done some really nice gardens. I think they should go down the cheap approach as with the recession coming it's appropriate

I quite liked Toby Buckland, but the heart went out of GW for me a while ago now.

Just one minor complaint-not about the cheap approach-hurrah!! At long last!!, but with the placement of the greenhouse stuff.

How many people genuinely have a choice about where their greenhouse can go?

I have a good sized garden, and I still have only one place the greenhouse can be.

Claire, I thought that as well, I wish I could move mine to get the maximum sun, North South aligned for my veg, but that would place it right outside the back door. Theres only one place for mine to go, dictated by the plot, and it must be away from any footballs or kids ride-on-toys.

Just thought I would add that one of my customers told me to watch the entirity as Id have a chuckle .....

I certainly did!!!!!!! Newspaper under a box hedge to collect the clippings, they must have been waiting weeks for a windless day to film that stupid tip.

Oh yes the old chestnut about cutting large leaved hedges with secaturs to avoid leaf damadge, a load of utter Boll***. A sharp hedge trimmer cuts cleanly, try doing a 100' long or even 10' long laurel hedge with secauters. Id pay to watch that!!!!!
